Sketch 3 file conversion

I have a bunch of old SKD files I created with Sketch 3 a dozen years ago, back when I wrote the manuals for it and a Sybex book about it. I'd like to put the drawings into my portfolio, but I have no way to convert them.

I did download the crippled sk_21fc.exe program, but all it can do is upgraded the SKD format; it won't save to any other format, as far as I can see. To add insult to injury, even _panning_ and zooming is disabled, so I can't even do a screen capture!

Does anybody know of a file conversion program out there somewhere that will convert SKD to...well, _anything_ else, practically.

Thanks in advance.

The only program I know of that will convert SKD's is Autosketch/QuickCad so
your best bet is to either purchase the cheapest copy around, or bribe
someone with a copy to convert them for you!

Hi Robert,

you should invest in an old AS 2.0 or 2.1 version (no big expense anymore I guess). I even got 2.1 for nothing from the Sketch hotline after registering my AS 5 (Germany 1998).

AS 2.1 can export your files to DXF (most programms, i.e. PSP, will open DXF) or, using Windows OLE, copy the drawings into BMP or WMF format.

Have a happy new year, regards
Peter
