From your message, I see that you have a good number of Autodesk Products
installed into Windows. Lots of files dumped into the Autodesk Shared
directory (not always a good thing to have multiple copies of the same
program on the same machine).
The Microsoft MSI installer is up to version 2 and can be downloaded from
their website. You may want to get it 'cause it almost sounds as though you
have an incomplete install of 8. But, if you feel you do, then uninstall the
program > rename the shared directory. Reinstall the program with
Administrator or PowerUser priviledges after having made sure any antivirus
program is disabled and the Autodesk Shared Directory has been renamed.
Reboot as necessary.
Let me know how this goes.
