HELP!!! Problem moving a group of objects!

To All,

I am having a problem moving a group of objects on V5

example: I draw a square widget using box command with 0'',0'' for starting
origin. I add a few round "holes", dimension the part. Now the problem, If I
want to center the part on my sheet for printing I highlight ALL and drag
with snap on. But if would try to add another dimension it will not snap to
the any line on drawing!! I've lost my origin: It still snaps at say .25''
intervals but the part is not aligned with this snap!

Thanks for any help,

Kevin

P.S. I also have this problem when I convert a 2.1(.skd) file to a .skf
file.

It sounds more like a snap problem.

If you select a start point - say the bottom left corner of the box
using and end snap (type E) - then type R for relative input and enter
the coordinates it should place it where you want.

In Tools>Drawing Options>Selection, check "Snap About Point to Grid."

The about point is the geometric center of the selection. It is freguently
not on the grid.

There is no reason to start a rectangle at 0,0 especially if you have no
intention of leaving it there. Use to place the first point, an to
place the other with the rectangle tool. To dimension a rectangle, use -
end snap.

In Tools>Drawing Options>Scale, you can click on Auto Fit or Auto Scale to
automatically give you drawing the best fit.
