Help! I can't install Autosketch Release 2 due product key!

I work in IT support and back in 1994 I loaded Autosketch R2 on our technical guy's laptop. He has recently been given a new laptop. We transferred his Autosketch files across and tried to reload the software on the new laptop. It was going OK until the program asked for the product key which was on a sticker in the software box/manual. Guess what - this has got lost over the years, so we are stuck.

Is there any way around this key? Is there a special emergency code to get through? It is so annoying!!!

Are you saying you have original disks and the registration number is
not printed on them?

Not to be unsympathetic, but as the IT person who installed the software,
you should have written down any required codes on the original disks.
Isn't that IT's job?

Try calling Autodesk.

Jeff,

If AutoDesk can't help you out, why not consider upgrading to the latest
version on the laptop? I think there are files on the CD that allow you
to work on R2 files.

That way you might deflect some of the criticism for not keeping
records, if that's an issue.
