Hatching=None or Filling=White => filled with Black

Hi,

after having filled

two chambers and

a pipe between

with red color I took a gif picture for an animation.

Then I need to empty the pipe and take the next gif for the animation.

Because Polylines are much too thick I drew a multiline rectangle over the portion to be emptied.

Into this rectangle I try to fill either nothing or white, but in both cases Black is filled in instead.

How can I optically "empty" that rectangle?

Only sketching quality is needed for the animation.

As you found out you can't have white, but you can have another shape inside a shape.

This will allow you to control what is shaded.

To make white fill be white, go to "View"->"Options"->"If same as page color" and uncheck "Invert pattern"

Thanks.  Most of these things were head-scratchers for me sometime back and it's nice to be able to try to help.
