Is the grid really necessary? Why do you use it?
The grid is a global effect, it won't be affected by any local changes
you make to a drawing. The grid doesn't care what you do on top of it,
it's only a guide. However, you can change the grid to circular or
isometric, and you can use GridSnap to have your entities follow any
specific grid orientation. Feh. In the way.
How do you input x and y coordinates, anyway? With ?
In any event, I'd rather you use Guidelines. These are the most useful
things you can deal with. If you have the AIO toolbar up, you can find
an icon flyout that says EditGuidelines. When you select it, the Edit
bar will show various types of guidelines you can choose (horizontal,
verital, etc.). Choose one and you'll see immediately how to use it. You
can even snap to them.
If all this is too weird, check the Help function, it's all there.
