Grid and snap interval

On page 29 of the "getting started guide", the screen capture shows 0,5 cm
and 0,25 cm as snap interval.
I chose cm as the measuring units and mm is displayed?!!
I cannot find any logic in this dialog box! (great, it's my first contact
with Autosketch...)

Dialog boxes always default to the linear units set in
Tools>Drawing Options>Units. If you enter a number with no
suffix it is assumed to be in the default units. Enter a number
with a different suffix and it will be converted to the default
units.

OK, thanks for your answer.
I guess my 10 years AutoCAD background will not help in getting to know

People who have windows program experience with drawing familiarity but no
CAD experience can learn AutoSketch fairly easily.

People who have years of AutoCAD Experience struggle with AutoSketch. I
guy I knew just never could fathom the way AutoSketch commands worked ("why
isn't there a command line...")

I do some drawing in AUtoCAD, a bit in TurboCAD but most of work is in
AutoSketch. AS does have its deficiencies and things it does differently
but if you are doing straight forward 2D stuff, I think you'll grow to
like AutoSketch.

I get it, Paul. Not bad.

For those not savvy, guy can be pronounced gooey in one of the
multitudinous accents in England, geek-referenced to GUI - graphical
user interface. Id est, Windoze.

Scouser is a codger. Those of us rapidly approaching coothood are well
acquainted with the term. Unfortunately.

Scouser is a person from Liverpool and not necessarily old which is
usually associated with 'codger'. I used to work on the Wirral side of
the mersey river (across from Liverpool) and was quaintly known as 'half
scouse' by the workmates.
