Getting Started

Harvey,

Pete is a new and only other live AutoSketch user in Fl.
He got R7 and is now waiting for Paul's book to arrive.
Could you please send me your Getting Started File so I
can forward it to him in the meantime?
I was not as lucky as Barry to find the lost link again to
Customer files.
Autodesk Point A search was no help to locate them.

I made up some exercises for Pete, geared to his particular
field of interest, patented packaging design (wine and other
more or less fine spirits) all done by hand previously.
The trouble is how to download my carefully structured R6.01
templates for his use on to his R7?
The floppy disks copies I made for him do not seem to work as
intended on his R7.
Is my DWG emailed, saved to his R7 SKF a possible answer or do
I confuse it with one of Len's recipes?

You will find several postings in this newsgroup of Harvey's file, just do a
find for "Getting Started" in the "Subject" field

There are around 4 or 5 postings, the file size is around 400k

Best wishes
Barry

OK, Gerhard, I sent it to you. I'll post it again in CF.

Harvey,

Thanks, received it and already forwarded it to Pete.
Boy, you are really a pro.
I thought, I had reached a certain level of proficiency
by doing silly little drawings but when I see what you
can do in PDF it is truly intimidating.
I know I will never make it to that standard.
One question still remains: How to transfer R6 drawings
into R7? If I recall, was that not a major complaint about
a missing patch in R7?

The problem is that an R7 drawing can't be opened in R6. An R6 CAN be
opened in R7, though. Isn't that sweet? No.
