Error at startup-missing .dll file as v7

When I try to launch AS, I get a message box titled "Error Starting Program" with the message "A required .dll file ACGE15.dll was not found". The problem is that the the file IS there but AS can't see it. So in order to use AS I have to reinstall it. Any body else had this problem?

A way to possibly fix this error is to add a path to the autoexec.bat
file.Add the statement to the beginning of the path statements in the
autoexec.bat.

Add "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared" to the beginning of
the Path statement in the Autoexec.bat file.

Good idea to edit autoexec.bat, but it didn't work. I also tried reinstalling windows 98 thinking an operating system file got corrupted, but NOOOO!! The funny thing is that I've been using AS V7 with no problems then boom. I had recently installed some networking software that caused other problems but they disappeared when I uninstalled the network program. Thanks for your response and please don't hesitate to continue the suggestions!

Another try that may help is to copy all the .dll files from the
Autodesk Shared folder to the main Autosketch folder and then try the
launch.This is something
that usually fixes the issue but I usually hesitate to use it because it
does make duplicate files and on programs that use upgrades it does make
it difficult to apply the upgrade. However if you are not worried about
that then try the fix.

You are a genius!! It worked!! As far as the upgrade issue, I could just delete the .dll files from the main AS folder and proceed with the upgrade?

Check to see also that your path statement in your autoexec.bat file is
less than 127? 128? characters long.
