default open and save file types

Is there any way to change the type of files shown when you go to open file? It defaults to skf which I never use. Same with saving a file. I think I asked this question once a long time ago and was told nope! I tried search but wore out my eyes looking. I use AS9.

I believe the answer is "no."

there is a registry setting to do this.
what type of file do you want as default???
