Copy and Snap

What is the best way to copy an element from a specific point on it to a specific point on another element? For example, I want to select a triangle and copy it from the midpoint of one of the sides to an endpoint of a different element. I know the copy command is now rubber stamp, but rubber stamp seems to select its own reference point to copy from. Thanks.

Two ways

1. Use the Transform>Translate command

2. Select the object. Right click on the about point and from the menu
select "Move AboutPoint". Snap the point to your object with the left mouse
button and then use the left button again to drag into position using
whatever snaps are necessary.

...and of course, our old friend, the Working Point. Use that with Translate and
you can move anything anywhere anywhichway.
