.CAD File extension

I have a couple of drawings with a .CAD extension. I have seen a few discussions outside of Autodesk that say AutoSketch will open these files so I can save them a dwg.

Please let me know if this is true. Of not, maybe some would be able to help me with a program that would open them.

Hello,

As long as the .CAD files are made with QuickCad, Autosketch wil open these.
You can even simply rename the .CAD (QuickCad) extension as .SKF
(AutoSketch), the file structure is the same.
