AutoSketch bugs not fixed in version 8. Export DWG: hatch scale bug

VERSION
6.01, 7.0x, 8.0.23

SYMPTOM
Pattern scaling is not applied correct when patterns are exported to AutoCAD
hatch.

REMARK
This probably only applies when using metric-units / system
This only applies to pattern defined in SKETCH.PAT
The 15 first "build in" patterns (inherited from Drafix 4.11) are scaled
correct but exported as AutoCAD lines.
User defined patterns (in *.PAT -file) are (probably - haven't tested)
scaled correct but only exported as AutoCAD lines.

CAUSE
Bad programming?

WORKAROUND
Use the first 15 patterns
or
change global pattern scaling (multiply by 25.4) (1 inch = 25,4 m) before
exporting to AutoCAD. The all hatch pattern in sketch.lin will be scaled
correct, but the 15 first hatches (Drafix) will be scaled wrong.

Remember only hatch pattern defined in the original Sketch.lin file will be
exported as hatches. Any added hatches are exported as (hundreds or
thousands) of entities. (Single lines, not even grouped)

All "tests" with
- AutoSketch 8.0.23 and 6.01 using metric units (as opposed to
imperial)
- Windows XP

Thank-you Mr. Alm.

Your hard work in reporting these issues has never gone un-noticed by those who
frequent this group. It would appear that it has always been your goal to report
these tidbits so they could be fixed. I'm sure your not just sitting around with
nothing to do.

I hope that Autodesk takes note of your efforts (searches back and looks at all
of them) and applies the information to subsequent versions.

Hello H,
(Harvey solved your correct first name spelling years ago
but through too many crashes, I lost the info.)

Since my mail server cannot access your listed return address,
protected by the Norwegian security system, I skip the more
personal note.

(snip)
Through the help of Harvey, Paul, Len, John N & John E, you
and many others I managed to become somehow proficient in
R6.01. to give up hand drafting I had done for 36 years.
Protecting the limited knowledge I had gained, I was not
courageous enough to venture into R7 or R8 with some of the
problems which were mentioned in the discussion group.

In December of last year, I made a feeble attempt to try to
organize what had been discussed but realized that with my
limited experience and knowledge I would not get very far.
When I saw on 1/28/02 your detailed contributions, I figured
you are much more knowledgeable than I ever will be.
Just want to ask you if it would make any sense to have some
sort of a format (sample enclosed) to put in the CF for
individual updating for the AutoDesk people to look at before
they start working on R9 or would it be an useless effort?
It might be an easy reference of questions by old and new users
in the NG of what works with what if the final format would be
done by a pro instead of a novice like me.
At least it might be a start.
