I am new to any CAD software and recently purchased AutoSketch to
maintain compatibility with the AutoCad used at work by our drafters.
I was disappointed that no printed user's guide was included in the
package. It is in PDF format (along with the getting started manual) on the
CD, but that meant having to print out almost 400 pages (I hate using
electronic copies for references since you must be at the computer to read
them - you can't, for instance, take them to the Doctor's office to read
while waiting to see the Doctor 30 minutes or so after your scheduled
appointment - but I digress)!
I know that version 7 has a printed manual since I saw it yesterday when
a co-worker showed it to me along with a printed version 7 QuickCad manual.
Both were around 400 pages. My question is why they raised the price for
version 8 (as I read in an earlier posting) but excluded the manual! this is
a lot like double taxation - raising millage and property values at the same
time! I find that to be reprehensible.
