AS 2.1 Superposition of filled objects

On behalf of a user who has no Internet access...This chap is drawing a semi circular desk with four chairs around it. His desk is solid blue and his chairs are solid red. How can he have all chairs under the desk? At the moment, some appear under it and others appear on top of it.

Also, he is having major problems drawing 1/4 elipses with a 10 mm curve to a rectangle which he would then draw with a thicker linetype and fill. I hope I'm explaining this o.k. Thanks in advance.

In the old days, when computers were slow, you could watch sketch drawing on the screen (and make coffee in the meanwhile). But you had no affect on the sequence of the elements of your drawing. That seems to be still today. The only way to solve that specific problem is to draw and fill only the part of the chair that is not under the table.
The problem with the elipses I don´t understand (maybe because of my english).

I would edit the objects in something like Power Point. Or, anything that will read the fills as objects.
Then send the object to the back. M
