Drafix format
AS 6.0x can save back to Drafix 4.11 *. CAD format
AS 7.0 b54 can NOT save back to Drafix 4.1 *.CAD format
AS 8.0 b23 can NOT save back to Drafix 4.1 *.CAD format
CAD-files save from AS7 are QuickCAD 7 *.CAD files
CAD-files save from AS8 are QuickCAD 8 *.CAD files
AutoSketch format
SKF-files saved from AS8 can not be opened in AS6 (no backward
compatibility), but probably in version 7. (Not tested.)
QuickCAD format
SKF-files and CAD-files saved from AS8 are almost identical, same size etc,
but with 6 bytes different inside.
All "tests" with
- AutoSketch 8.0.23 and 6.01 using metric units (as opposed to
imperial)
- Windows XP
Opening a saved AutoSketch 8 .SKF drawing in AutoSketch 7 works.
Also, if an AutoSketch 8 drawing were saved as AutoCAD R14 .DWG or .DXF file
format, then AutoSketch 6 will be able to open it.
