Show actual value of a computed parameter

Hello there,

i did an asset with an array in it. Usually the computer calculates

the number of copies dependent on the space there is by a formula

which includes rounding. Anyway sometimes you might want to add

or remove an element.

Is it possible to display the actual number, the calculated value of

the array? If not it would be nedessary to count them before using

an absolute value.

Roller distances are fixed.

Is this possible?

Kind regards

Daniel

I meant the value of an equation...

Hi Daniel,

I didn't quite understand what you mean. But i guess you can use Distance option to pattern the features in the asset since the distance is fixed. Anyway, could you please share a sample to look close?

Hello Xuesong,

so good to have you back! Yes distance patterning might help and I

most certainly will try.

There´s just one more question. If i put a value, and check "key", it´s

displayed as a key parameter. If I put an equation and check "key" only

the equation or the parameters name is listed. I would want to see the

actual value of the parameter.

I attached a screenshot. Perhaps i´m allowed to change to distance.

Would be a little easier that way.

Hello Daniel,

That is as designed that If you  put an equation and check "key" only the equation or the parameters name is listed. I don't know why you want to display the calculated vaule in the list. All of prameters that shown up in the list as key parameter should be the drive parameters.

If you really want to display the vaule of such key parameter that is driven by equation,so please put the equation in iLogic, rather than in parameter list.

Thanks,

-Xuesong
