Hello there,
when you place a pit there is a grey shadow indicating
the ground level. Can this be turned off? It´s not looking
good when rendering the layout.
Thanks in advance
Daniel

Hi,
A solid floor is automatically created when you add a pit, which complicates things a bit. In Inventor, the floor visibility setting controls both the solid floor and the reference floor.
In Navisworks, you can turn off the reference floor in the application options.

Hey Loren,
yes the floor is quite aggravating. I can turn it off but
if I do, the pit looks like a floating basin, which is not
very good.
Do I really have to do a sketch for the floor level and
turn off the floor in Factory then? It´s not very practical
I think.
Kind regards
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
You just want get good shadow on the ground floor, right?
Why not open the floor part from disc in Inventor and assign great material to the floor part.
Thanks,

Hello Xuesong,
yes it partly is because of the shadows but mainly
the grey tint on the floor level. I will consider your
suggestion and thanks !
