Factory Utility Causing crashes

Hi All

I have Installed a Trial Version of Factory Design Suite Ultimate on both my home pc and work pc.

At home Inventor works fine but when using AutoCAD to do 2D layouts the software crashes almost every 2 minutes (mostly when using the Factory Utilities for setting up Stations, Jobs and Routings.)  The graphics are also very unstable when I edit my routes using the path option to choose a new path between my stations.  Paths and geometry dissapear, all my lines turn white (even if the layers are set to other colours) ect.

At work the programs open fine, although I haven't been modelling yet with them.  I have been more concerned that Inventor wont open at all, I keep getting a customer error report window when the loading splash screen shows.  I uninstalled the Factory Utilities and Inventor opens without an issue.

I would like to know if anyone else has been having stability issues with the Factory Utilities or if this is an isolated case, maybe a corrupt download or hardware / software related?

I work for a reseller and I would like to start pushing this product to customers however I am reluctant to do so if it is flawed or unstable.

Kind Regards

Good Day Xuesong

I downloaded Factory Design Suite Ultimate 2014 (Build 3.0.100.0).

At home I did the following:

  • Uninstalled Product Design Suite Ultimate 2013 (after this no Autodesk products were on my pc)
  • Performed a Registry cleanup using CCleaner
  • Installed all the components of Factory Design Suite Ultimate 2014
  • Started modeling as explained in earlier post

A work

I have the following installed to be able to provide support to customers

  • AutoCAD and Inventor 2012 (PDS)
  • Product Design Suite Ultimate 2013
  • AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • Simulation CFD 2013
  • Simulation Multiphysics

  • I performed a registry clean up using CCleaner.
  • Installed Factory Design Suite Ultimate 2014 as a trial version
  • Tried to launc Inventor 2014, clicked "Try" and it the crashed.
  • I uninstalled Factory Utilities for Inventor and Inventor opened without crashing.

I hope this is enough information.
