discrete even simulations

Does Factory Design support discrete event simulation of factory operation? If not, does it export cleanly to other simulation packages?

Hi there,

what type of simulation you want? Any detailed introduction will be helpful.

Thanks,

Coherent,

I am a Factory Design Suite subscriber, but for discreet event simulation I use Promodel.  I have not found anything in the suite that can do anything close to what Promodel can do.  However I definitely would like to do it all in Autodesk.  The idea of working in native DWG format and then rendering out a discreet event simulation in 3d is what I would ultimately want out of the Factory Design Suite.

Hi Noel,

Thank you very much for the detailed introduction.

Currently FDS cannot do the such 3D simulation as Promodel, however , there is the  2D simulation solution which is based on web.http://processsim-au.autodesk.com/ You can use it by Autodesk ID.

Thanks,

-Xuesong
