Can library assets be table driven?

Hello there,

after I did a table driven assembly to test it´s capabilities alltogether with Excel,

I need to ask if it´s possible to publish an asset with a spreadsheet reference?

Where will the reference files for each new instance be generated? Don´t

think of me as lazy, but given this is not possible I would not need to do the

Factory assembly aknew as an ordinary assembly.

Kind regards

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Each referenced excel file will be copied as instance from library into local folder (Factory Assets folder) with assembly asset instance. That means, if you want to change the parameter value of asset by table, you need to open the referecnce excel instance and do the change. I think the "operation" is too complex.

Why not create the table driven in Assembly parameter table?

Thanks,

-Xuesong

Please mark as a solution if somehow I got it right.

Hello Xuesong,

that´s exactly what I thought about too, I just needed to be reassured.

It will do I guess.

Thank you kindly

best regards

Daniel
