We use QTY instead of Spacing for the stiffen by setting in our spec tables. The software seems to always place the MPT's in the incorrect spot on a pressure class where it calls for two angles and MPTs. (+6/+10in wg common).
I am about to go through our 2 angle JTR & MPT stiffeners and remove the MPTs within the siffener, and have the shop place the angle in the correct spot, drill the MPTs in line with the JTRs, and charge out the conduit seperatly. The only issue with this is, when estimating you will be missing your conduit price / labor.
My question is, in order to keep the shop from having to charge out the MPTs. Is there a way you can script to remove development holes? If so, can you remove just the MPTs and not the JTRs? Does this affect the cost of the fitting? Does it remove the development holes and the mpt/jtr itself?
This hasnt been a huge issue for our shop rarely see's 6/10in wg.
Thanks for any input,
Nick
