What bond? What are the brick and bedding dimensions? There are a LOT of
brick patterns out there. It may be amongst the links to hatch pattern
collections here:

You probably could have created your own custom hatch by now. Open up [a copy of] the acad.pat file and find a hatch pattern definition for a brick pattern that is close to what you want. Read through the Help section on creating custom hatch patterns, then work out which parameters need to be tweaked to get 4" separation on the horizontal lines, 4" dashes and 4" gaps on the vertical lines, a 12" offset on the first set of vertical lines and a 4" vertical and horizontal offset between the first set of vertical lines and the second set of vertical lines [maintaining the 12" offset on the second set], creating the 1/3 running bond.

Try the attached .PAT file (dropping the .txt filename extension).

Ok, Thanks...I'm using a simpler pattern without the bedding. My next question is this:

I have acad.pat in several directories, and have gathered many other custom hatches. How can I put these all in another specific directory, such as ...support/hatch/custom.pat, that AutoCAD will see in the Custom Tab in Hatch command?

Thanks.

I have created two patterns...my 1/3 utility, and a half height cmu.

But it does not like something about the names of the two files. It would not preview or load either pattern until I deleted every special character in the names (i only used dashes "-"), and all comments in the file except the actual data.

What are the rules for naming and adding text to a .PAT file?

I've attached an offending file.

Thanks for the help

Tom
