units - civil vs. architectural Please help!!!

ok, I am a civil designer that is having a hard time wrapping my brain around architectural units. I have a project that has several drawings with different units. The client wants dimension ticks to be 1/4", dimension arrows to be 1/2"; all text (including dimension text to be 3/4".
the scales are 1"=1'
1-1/2'=1'
3/4"=1'

Could someone please help me with the set up for the dimstyle, general setup, and text height

I really feel like a dummy, but have been working in engineering units for 18 years.

thank you
Linda

Just type in the values for the tick marks and such.

But , your "scale for dimension features" will be

12 for 1"=1'
16 for 3/4"
8 for 1-1/2" = 1"

That number can be thought of as representing the amount of model space
inches for 1 paperspace inch.

?? aren't those kind of large?? 1/2" dimensions, 3/4" dim text. Must be pretty simple
plans or very large sheets.

Make three different dim styles
1"=1' 12"/1" =12 (your dim scale factor) set text and tick
mark etc to actual size required
1-1/2" = 1' 12/1.5= 8 (your dim scale factor) set text and tick mark
etc to actual size required
3/4"=1' 12/.75= 16 (your dim scale factor) set text and tick mark
etc to actual size required

Scale your viewports to the scale required, ( Hope you use paper space) If
you use model , mutiply all your settings required by the scale factor in
each dim style i.e. 1"=1' your text would be 3/4" x 12 = 9" text and so on
