printing plt files over a network without dos?

I am wanting to know if there is a way to print PLT files without going into dos. I have to create these PLT files so other people in our company and in our parent company can print them however we have some people that are not too computer savy that are going to be using these files. I would like to keep them out of dos. I have tried to just drag the plt files onto the network printer and that does not work. I just keep getting this printer is not your default printer. Yes it is my default printer. Just wondered if there is a windows friendly box I could download that would allow me to embed the dos comand into it and when they just took the file they want to print and copied it onto the windows box (Or Icon) it would preform the command for them without them having to go into dos. Any sugestions or questions feel free to e-mail me at mselig@atmi-indy.com or markselig@yahoo.com

The problem with the above listed product is that it does NOT maintain
proper lineweights, at least when printing to HP printers. Otherwise, it is
pretty good.

First to Dean Saadallah,

Thank you I downloaded this and have given it a try. Seems to work for what we need it to do and I thank you. You saved me a ton of time.

Second to Reid M. Addis,

I took and created a plt file using our current ctb file. In doing so all our line weights are determined in the ctb file. All lineweights in the drawing that are set by the ctb file stayed printed that way when I used this program. However I did have a couple of lines that were created with a different line weight than the ctb file line weights and it did not save these line weights.

Thanks for passing on this information to me.

Never had that issue come up ever, and I only use HP products: the program
is just a DOS 'cover', nothing else. I suspect your issue is something else.
Govert has a link to his website with another variation, if you want to try
something else.

If it is still doing it, can you provide more details?

Files are created with CTB's and printed to an HP4050 PS printer. I think??
Will have to double check now. Perhaps they were from R14?
