I'm stuck in a viewport layout and can't get up... eeer... out!

My ADT 3.3 viewports are too close to each other and I can't get out of one without entering another. How do I get into paper space again. I zoomed too far into the selected viewport... now I can't get out. A few months ago someone at work helped me but I don't remember what I did back then. There is no area of paper space showing right now... I am s-t-u-c-k!. Please... any suggestions? Thankz. Meg

If you are in a viewport, ctrl + R will cycle through the viewports.

That what you want?

Thanks, Mike. PS and ENTER worked! I immediately re-configured the veiwports so it won't happen again. Also- I taped up your suggestion on my desk so I can refer to it again. Meg PS>>> The storm yesterday was horrendous! My 'puter survived though. 😉

I have a similar situation whereas my viewport is way too big and outside of the Layout viewing area. So, I am not able to get to my viewport in the Layout and panning just moves my drawing around not letting me get to the viewport at all. I have tried a zoom - extents, but due to the fact that I cannot click on the viewport this too does not work. Suggestions anyone?

Increase the size of your layout.  If your stuck in the viewport then you should be able to do as above and type PS then hit enter to get out of it.

The Ctrl + R doesn't seem to work in LT.  Is there a way around this?

LT version?
CTRL+R is a universal AutoCAD feature and also in LT: but it only works if you are inside a viewport to start with and you actually have two or more viewports. Do you? or do you have two viewports that are perfectly overlapping (in which case you need to move one)?

For whatever reason I had to add a new macro and assign it to the CTRL+R key combination.

I had the same issue where I imported a Drawing from Revit and imported into AutoCAD.  I zoomed in to add a few details, (while in Paperspace) and it would not zoom back out to where I could see the borders with company logo and all the other information. zoom extents didnt work or anything else besides right clicking on the layout tab on the bottom and going into Page Setup Manager and modifying the page again.  After that it zoomed out and centered the drawing.  Hope that helps.

I had the same problem. I couldnt reach the extends of the viewport so as to exit from editing it.
I tried typing the command ZOOM extends and didnt work..    BUT it worked when i double clicked the wheel button of the mouse (in which is assigned by default the Zoom extends command).
hope that helps someone
