Endcap on Stud Wall

I thought I understood how endcaps worked in ADT2 but in ADT3 I'm not sure.
I'm trying to create a better endcap for a stud wall that shows the gypsum
board. The example in ADT3 shows a joint on one side of the wall as the gyp
bd goes around. Ok but not great solution.
I know I've asked a similar question in the ADT2 NG a while back. At the
time I thought that Matt Dillion suggested that I use 2 "L" shaped pieces
but that now only seems to work on one side and goes the wrong way on the
other.
Does anyone have a "clean" solution.

Thanks,

Ron

The "L" that goes the wrong way is most likely due to the polyline that
defines it being drawn clockwise. Redraw the polyline counterclockwise and
redefine the endcap.

Thanks Matt, you found my problem.
I am now able to get what I want for "Fixed width" walls and different
endcap for each. Would be nice to get one that works for the "X" width stud
walls, but no luck so far.

I wouldn't pursue that too far. It won't work. 😞

I'd like to see more controls on endcap scaling (like "hold width", or "hold
length". But for now you can do like I do. I use set width studs. The only
wall styles that allow variable widths are those that don't use special
endcaps.
