DST Sheet Set locked in Samba

The issue with the AutoCAD compatibility is apparently the way the users are locked out of specific files - there is a specific type of "sheet set" file ("xxx.dst") which is unable to be accessed by anyone but the author even when the file is closed, and it becomes a problem when more than one users need to work on the project.

We tested the theory that it was a server issue by creating a new project on a shared drive, and did not have the same issue as projects created on the server.

The Server is Linux using Samba.

How can I change the lock?

I wish I had an answer.

I do not have the issue under Samab 3.4.9 or lower.  I see the problem on Samaba 3.5.10 and higher (distro independant)   It is kind of infuriating to say the least.
