Draworder Problem

I am hatching floor areas of my plans with a solid pattern and then sending the patterns "back" behind the linework. By screening the solid I get a nice soft colored background. The problem is that the Draworder only holds for a while. It looks good on screen, but when plotting, the solid obscures everything behind it, even though the solid is supposed to be behind the line work. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried the sending behind and then select the specific items to go
behind.
Draw order is really only reliable forthe order items are drawn in.
ie. Select the earlier drawn items you want to be above.
Copy them to the same spot. Delete Previous.
Now that the items have beedn drawn later they will automatically display
above.

Draworder has two commands you need to use when you have a problem: BACK and
FRONT.

But there is a limit on earlier AutoCAD/ADT versions where edited items and
newly created items are always on top too.

AND with plotting, which forces a REGEN before plotting, it can undo your
settings as well: so REGEN or REGENALL to make sure your entities are where
they need to be.

The other tip is a good one too, tends to be more foolproof.
