ArchiCAD free for students

That's true, ArchiCAD is now free for students:
https://eduregistration.graphisoft.com/

I can guess Autodesk next step: make Revit free for students... This will be
another subtle way to kill ADT.

free for students? for most students software is 'free' already via the
friendly sharing network (that is, unless you're a mug mature-age student
like me who actually paid for his student license of LT14)

Many student versions of Autodesk products can be downloaded for free from
the following site. As long as you are a student at an approved University.
The site has been running for about 2 months now.

There are some Universities outside of the US listed. The registration page
also allows you to place a request to have your University added to the
list. I am not sure of the details or qualifications required.

Hi Jeff

Thank you for your answer.

I tried to identify the programs available, but the only information I get
is:
Architecture & Design. Could you please specify if ADT is included? And
Revit?

Thanks in advance.

Jeff:

Thank you very much.
This list confirms my suspicions: Autodesk is killing ADT!

As well as AutoCAD? I doubt that. But they should really add ADT to that
list.

How 'bout for teachers?

I'm an adjunct professor and would love the opportunity to have Revit for free.

As long as you have a ".edu" email account from an approved University you
are good to go. If your institution is not listed you can apply to have it
approved.

Perhaps it is a long-term strategy of autodesk to kill off autocad as well?

you guys spend way too much time on conspiracy theories. how many people do you work with or know who have move to revit. if a lot then you might should go to. if not then obviously nothing it getting "killed" off.

wait this just in. adesk is killing off autocad R14! 🙂 there is probably more people still on that version than all cad programs together. killing off? yeah right.
