ADT 3.3 to SKETCHUP

We have Sketchup 3.0 and I would like to transfer the Drawings from AutoCAD/ADT to Sketchup. Sketchup seems NOT to want to read ADT smart objects. I guess Sketchup only reads AutoCAD 2D, 3D extruded entities.

The problem is that we always, bind XREF, explode AEC entities, flatten the object, save the drawings then IMPORT them into Sketchup as 2D then we extrude and redraw 3D element in Sketchup.

I would like to know if there is a way to keep our 3D models drawn using ADT walls, doors, windows, etc and import them into sketch up. Is there a way, a service pack, a utility? It is counter productive to redo the work in sketchup. (Don't suggest that I should use VIZ or MAX or FORM Z please)

Kevin

Sketchup does not read ADT entities: they have not licensed it from
Autodesk.

Also, Sketchup in not an Autodesk product: you will have to consult the
authors for tips and ideas beyond what you have explored to date.

Do your AECEXPLODE in a "3D view". This should retain the 3d portion of the
objects.
