adding detail numbers to door schedules

Maybe I'm crazy, but let's go through the following scenario:
We have created wall types "A" for steel stud and Gyp. Bd. wall, and "E" for CMU wall. I have a type "F" style for a flush door in HM frame. If I insert the type F door into the type A wall, or the type E wall, I would think that the program would KNOW what wall type the door is anchored to. Since the program KNOWS this, is there any way to get the schedule feature to look to a spreadsheet or database, and say to itself "There is an F door in an E wall - hence jamb detail #4. There is an F door in an A wall - hence jamb detail #7", and then report the correct detail numbers to the door schedule?

Unfortunately I'm illiterate at VBA...can someone suggest anything?
