great question, we are working on that functionality now, it should be out very soon. Anything else you'd like to see us add?

Thanks for your reply.

I'm just wondering if this technology it's meant to be a light version of Autodesk 360 Glue/Field and how it integrates with Project Skyscraper.
It would be good if we could save views, cut sections, add mark-ups (2D, 3D), send transmittals, get 3D elements properties, model sharing (2 o more users view the same model in real time; one controls and the rest of users are viewers; possibility to take control).
Is there a limit in terms of file size a total space used?
Thanks.

Hello

I would say that Autodesk 360 is a project based collabration tool, with an awesome viewer which allows a person to view numerous file formats without having the application which created those files.  It also has a deep Search feature, which will allow you to find a part or object in various files.  We will add more capability later on as we find out more from users like you what it is that would make the product really useful to you. That's why we value your input so much, it really can drive the direction we go with this product.

As for storage, we don't have a limit yet for Tech Preview users so experiment with as much as you like.  The file size is not limited at this time, but file size, complexity, etc can contribute to how long it takes to be able to preview and view a file.  It is good to start with simple files, and ratchet up, rather than throwing your biggest file at it 🙂  You want to be able to experiment with the viewer, and get good results.

3D viewing requires Chrome or Firefox for the best results, 2D can be viewed with IE, but is still better with Chrome and Firefox.

Hope this helps, let us know your feedback as you try the product out.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for posting the feedback on the zoom in and out of the models. Can you post this as an Idea for the IdeaStation? That way we can share it through the IdeaStation with the team.
