Hi Bob-

The Tech Preview does not yet have a markup feature. Can you tell me more about what your markup workflow requirements would be? For instance, if you are working with DWF files, are you looking for an Design Review workflow where the markup is saved back to DWF?

It would help the development team a great deal to understand your workflow needs.

Yes, we started to implement Design Revit, but the naysayers caught wind that Autodesk was getting rid of it, so they abandoned it all together.

So, let's say the estimator logs in and has a question about something, how is he supposed to point out what he is talking about. I know Navisworks saves the view, which wasn't as nice as actually marking up, but it worked. In 360, it seems that there is no way to point things out that they are talking about, with a view, arrow, or callout.

The nay-sayers were misinformed! Design Review is not being actively developed, but the DWF format is not changing and Design Review continues to be compatible with the latest products that make DWFs. I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

That said, you can do a lot of the same collaboration(and faster, more efficiently) with a cloud based tool like the one we are working on here.

I'm curious if you have tried the pin commenting available on 360.autodesk.com. It only works on 2D documents at the moment, but if you think this sort of thing would be good in a 3D file it would be great to hear about how you would like to see it work.

I truly do hope that we start seeing some convergence of the technologies soon.
We can't continue to have similar services which offer slightly different toolsets, despite them all looking quite similar.

I hope the old 360 documents service is phased out in favour of this.

I hope the Markups from the old A360 are migrated into the new A360.

I hope the new A360 is able to view Revit and Navisworks files.

I hope the A360 Mobile app is able to integrate with the new A360.

I hope the new A360 is able to integrate with BIM 360 Glue and Field.

I agree that markups are absolutely necessary for the review process... That was the whole point behind design review.
