AutoCAD© Structural Detailing has been developed in order to facilitate preparing final drawings of component parts of designed structures. This includes preparing steel, formwork and reinforcement documentation.

AutoCAD© Structural Detailing - Steel allows generation of complete detailing documentation of steel structures (drawings + tables of materials). The process of creating drawings in AutoCAD© Structural Detailing - Steel is automatic. Drawings are generated based on a detailed 3D structure model defined also in this application.

AutoCAD© Structural Detailing - Formwork Drawings allows making detailed drawings of a structure (story plans, foundation plans, sections, elevation views, etc.); it is equipped with a complete set of options for drawing and description of structure elements that are adapted to the needs of an engineer / designer. Drawings are generated based on a detailed 3D structure model defined also in this application.

AutoCAD© Structural Detailing - Reinforcement allows creating detailed drawings of RC structure reinforcement; it is equipped with a complete set of options for drawing details of an RC structure drawing, which are adjusted to the engineer-designer’s needs and make it possible to draw objects in an intuitive manner.

The aims of this discussion group are to:
- get your opinion on the new features
- identify areas of improvement needed
- give you the opportunity to become familiar with the product

Where can we find info about this or beta test this product? I am tired of Bentley AutoPlant Structural. Terrible product support terrible customer service and terrible training I have been waiting for Autodesk to issue a comparable product.

I received the detailing package with our Revit Structural Suite. Seem that only British (?) standards are included.
When will the U.S. standards be ready?
Thank You

So, people that ordered only Revit Structure don't get the Detailing
software?
Is there a trial? Is it sold separately?

Seems that the detailing package is an addon to autoCAD 2009 which is part of the suite.
Note the wood SEEMS... Got NO documentation .
This is the most info I can find:

It appears this program is not set-up to use in the U.S.A. because there are no previsions for imperial entry or A.I.S.C. data base.

When will Autodesk Add these features?

Fantastic AutoDesk. I've been waiting for you guys to develop a detailing package. As the owner of a design and drafting consultancy in Australia that does a fair bit of steel detailing I have a few questions.

Where will Autodesk be aiming to place the product in the market with regards to producst such as StruCAD and Xsteel and ProSteel. We have been considering buying Prosteel because of it being third party to AutoCad but have been reluctant because we are pro StruCad and Xteel which are considered the top end of the market.

Is it an add-on to AutoCAD or is it built from the ground up say like what happened with the evolution of Inventor.

Anyway look forward to hearing from you.

regards
