Truss node (gusset plate) connection

Hi,

I’m a beginner at this program, and trying to get a good detailing for a truss connection in my university project.

When I draw a truss with the roof truss tool, and then try to make a truss node (gusset plate) connection on one of the nodes, when I choose my chord bars & lattice bars I get the following massage: Selected profile does not meet criteria of truss connection! (1).  In the end I need something that looks like the picture in the attachments, with the required number of bolts !

Thank you.

Hi,

What sections are you using for your lattice?

I have come across where ASD does not allow certain sections to be used as lattice members.

so try using either angles, flats, round hollow sections, rectangular hollow sections.

Also check your insertion point for the members.

Cheers bye...
