Steel Column Change Length for multiple columns

I want to change the height of a large number of columns, approx 250 in my model but can't find out how to do it for all of them at once, only one at a time, which is far to time consuming especially if I need to change them again.

Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

You can use cutting by line or polyline but this second might sometimes cut more than the lenght.

Of coure it works if you want to shorten the parts on same level and the cut direction is properly set.
