Separating combined Assemblies

Is there a way to separate assemblies that are combined to one assmebly ?

Is it due to connection between which link it up - or assembly setting which cause column to be associated to many other members thus generating drawing as shown in annexed file - " Automatic drawing ".

Have attached a photo to illustrate the Problem.

Thanks

Yes it is Possible,

I was also helped by someone in the Forum.

select Assembly on object inspector, Rigt click and click remove from Group, and select object you want removed.

I hope this help you.

creat assemblies again and don't delete existing.

What you meant by creating assemblies again ? re-autopositioning ?

Annex file after remove from group has been done - still there are anomalies about the dimensioning ?

What could be the cause of the combined assemblies ? due to connection ?

thanks

yes, as you done it, but you need to identify the other profile that was removed from the assembly and take it as separate assembly.

the way I see this assembly you will get 3 separate subassembly, 1 will retain the naming of the orriginal assembly and 2 new.

take note what you remove from assembly, if a part is left and not attached to that assembly, it is taken as part of the assembly and Dimensions will be added to it.

when you select Group assemblies. you are prompt to remove existing assembleis , choose no.

and continue, then find the newly created assembly in Object inspector and assign position to it.

I dont have video facility to demo the explanation.

Ok good -

But according to me the problem is mainly due to WELD definition whether it is SITE or WORKSHOP .

Try it out
