Good Morning All,
I sincerely hope someone can help me with the Railing (Handrail command). Three to four hours spending on a 48'-0" run for hand rails is simply crazy for anyone, no matter at what skill level. The main issue I have encountered is that its a hit and miss command; meaning sometime the command will at least give you a "chance" to complete what you're trying to do and sometime it would just end after you selected A: starting point or polyline, B: select supporting profile.
1. I stumbled on to somehting that may or may not help the issue but does selecting Parametric Strucures from full to simplied mode helps?
2. Fixing: NF P 01-012, rib connection. connection plate automatically comes in at a lenght of 9 5/16" for a C10 supporting profile, I get it... But what I dont get is the thickness of the plate, ASD will model a 2" th plate but not for 3/8"th? Thus I dont have connecting plates on my BOM.
3. Wrapped around railing will give you conflict on one side eventhough everything are equal, same lenght, profile, spacing, offset, etc.
I hope someone with better understanding of how this command works can help me identify what it is that I'm doing right/wrong because the hit and miss is really driving to drink.
