fitting table to layout and drawing title block

Hi 

Please could somebody tel me how I can modify the table on my drawing so it fits the layout and the title block that I'm using. The table list all the items that I want to the drawing, but there are no grips that allow me to change the table size or split it. See the attached screen shot.

One method I know, that is, you have to make table in excel and than copy and paste, part of table each time. Select table part and right click, select property and change width or height as required.

I had to resort to exporting the table to excel and then copying it back into ASD

Why has nobody made this table the same as the tables that we are use to in AutoCAD? Why can't it be the same.
