Detailed view

I am having problems getting detail views on my assembly drawings.

In the templates on the object inspector, that came with the software, in the Assembly and Profile templates there is a view called 'cut' that does not produce a view when the template is used in the automatic drawing generator. Looking at the properties of the view in the bottom section of the object inspector the type is given as a custom view.

It would seem likely that this is intended to produce the detailed views I want but how is this done? I have been unable to find any reference to this in the help file.

Its possible if you use a template with a cut view to add a detail or a cut.

to do this you open the position (edition layout) and in the active view e.g. front view you choose from the ribbon what you want to do e.g Add view (detail) then you follow on screen directions and you end up with one new view that you can add to your print out.
