For structural elements(members) created using "BEAM"/"COLUMN" in ASD-MODEL - we are not able to get "CONNECTIONS" such as shear plate/clip angle etc.,

Hi,

We have used "BEAM" element in ASD-Model to gererate columns and beams as shown in the previous attachment frame.dwg.  These generated beams are made up of PLATES(automatic generation by ASD).This is exactly the way built-up beams/columns fabricated.

As suggested by you , if we generate  beam using profile and use automatic positioning, bill of materials will have only one position mark(as a single beam) instead of three positoin marks(for three plated built-up beam). This is the reason  for trying to get connections for "BEAM" element (plate compound assembly).

Regards,
