Hello Dear

I would like to know that in case of tapered & Straight Beam junction taperd beam doesnt mate properly with the Column. That is at one point there is the gap & other point is Mated properly.

Same is the case with the stair case. For the better understanding of the problem  please find the image appended.

What I see here is a problem with use of ucs, lower point and high point coordinate.

Try it with perperndicular points you  will get good result.

try using centre points or O-snap than picking nearest.

Hello Dear

First of all thanks a lot for taking intrest in the problem.

Actulay the problem is not regarding thenearest of center . Problem is the mating of the beam with the column as beam surface is at some angle to the column surface.

Help would be appriciated.
