Hi Richard,

please accept apologies for this situation. Your original post was moved by someone to another forum because it contained some information related to problems with logging service requests, Unfortunately it was not noticed that it contained also some technical questions related to ASD.

As concerns strange effects observed when inserting I sections HM and HN from Chinese section database I will return to you after checking it.

Best regards,

Hi Richard,

there are some internal incoherencies inside Chinese section databases in ASD 2012 resulting in anomalies you observed.

Before they are addressed in future update please use the attached files.

Chin9Pro.xml and ChinaPro.xml files contained in these compressed ZIP archives should replace analogous files used so far.

Please:

1/ open  the folder

in Win XP:
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Structural\Common Data\2012\Data\Prof

in Win Vista:
C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\Structural\Common Data\2012\Data\Prof

in Win 7

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Structural\Common Data\2012\Data\Prof

2/ find and rename files Chin9Pro.xml and ChinaPro.xml in this folder

3/ copy XML files from attached ZIP archives into this folder
