Adding Triangular Plates and Other Questions

What is the procedure for adding plates to an ASD model when the plates are not circular and not square?

also . . . the attached screen shot shows my default dialog box when I activate the plates command in ASD modeling ribbon.  It always defaults to a 10" plate, no matter how many times I insert a plate.  Also the dialog box only seems to recognize / default whole numbers, 1,2,3 etc, no decimals.

I suspect this has something to do with inch to millimeter conversion(s).  Anybody have any ideas?

Please, you must read the manual. It has all the answers to your questions and more!

(You can find it in your own PC... C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2011\Setup\es-ES\SetupRes\InfoLink\...)

Chapter 2.1.3 Units (defining units, metric, imperial, etc)

Chapter 7 Plates (user defined plates, like polylines > triangular)

There are Tutorials and some Getting Started Guides.

Try them.
