Reducing TIF Size when Ortho-rectified

I have a large TIFF file (over 300MB) that has been ortho-rectified and inserted into an AutoCAD mapping survey file using a TFW.  I want to make the TIFF file smaller to be more manageable.  When I do, I export the image and create a new TFW but it creates it in the wrong place.  If I export to a JPG file, the JPW (jpeg world file) is also incorrect and the jpeg image is resized and not rectified with the survey file.

How can I get a smaller TIFF (or JPEG) file with a correct world file?  I'm not to concerned with losing a little resolution.
