RD2004 - Saving Correlation in Image File

According to the documentation for Raster Design 2004 it
should be possible to store correlation information within
an image file header during an export operation. I assume
this implies the program now is finally capable of writing
to the GeoTiff format. Alas, I have not been able to
ascertain the proper shuck and jive moves to make this
happen. Any enlightenment on this issue is greatly
appreciated.

Hi. No, any correlation is saved as a seperate file, either a World file or
Resource file. Could you let me know where the confusing documentation is
and I'll work to correct it. BTW, writing GeoTiff is on our wishlist and
hopefully we'll be able to address it soon. Thanks.

Gary, so it can't write correlation data to the image file but can it read correlation info from an existing GeoTiff image file that has correlation data and use it when inserting to speed the process or do we always need to enter correlation info in a World or Resource file.

Thanks,
Carl

Please refer to Page 40 (Chapter 3) of
the Autodesk Raster Design - Getting Started documentation that comes
packaged with Map Series 2004.  It even shows a shapshot
of the Export Options dialog box with Image File highlighted as a
correlation option.

Perhaps this is a Dilbert moment between
marketing and engineering.
