Raster to Vector conversion

Have downloaded a trial version of Raster and have been asked to use this program with no prior knowledge..Is there ANY cheats anywhere with this where I can load in jpegs, or dxf conversions to do the raster to vector change? I am using an old version of Autocad LT (2000) and it DEFINITELY has it's draw backs...Not sure what, if anything I can do to resolve a quick fix for these conversions.

Raster has to have an engine (e.g., AutoCAD) and I would not think that LT
would work.

Raster Design does not run on LT.
Also keep in mind that the version of Raster Design needs to be synced up
with the version of AutoCAD you're running. So if you have AutoCAD 2008 you
need to install Raster Design 2008.

Good point about the versions matching. After loading the CAD & Raster Design, start by going through the RD tutorials. Go to the "Image" pulldown, then at the bottom, click on "help". There should be a listing for tutorials. That is the quickest way I know of to get started.
