raster design freezing often

I am using Raster Design 2009, and having a lot of problems with random crashes.

Most of the time, the crashes happen when i mouse over a button in the Image tab, or when I mouse over the quick properties box. The whole program freezes up and stops responding, and I have to kill the process in task manager. I have tried waiting a while to see if it unfreezes, but no dice.

Any ideas what might be going on? This happens occasionally when I am not using Raster Design as well, but 95% of the crashes I get are when I am using one of the buttons in the Image tab.
