Thank you for contacting Autodesk regarding the status of AutoCAD Raster Design 2011. The AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 release date is unknown at this time. We recommend that you contact your Autodesk Chanel Sales Representative for any additional status on the matter.

You need to hurry up and get it out. I need it, and I'm tired of waiting.

It means u can't even start testing, let alone deploy, with it's 'partnering' app, until it's available. So, it's already a month down the line from the main apps, then u've got the time for testing on top. It all eats into the actual time ur gonna be using it before the next release.
Anyway, shouldn't be surprised I guess!

I found this page that worked for me. A simple registry hack with allow 2011 products to use the 2010 OE. That doesn't give you the full version but at least you can insert and see additional image types.

Thanks, but no real use to me as we work with a lot of of scanned drgs. These are only .tif files which can obviously be attached no problem, but then need to be modded. So we end up with a lot of drgs which are part CAD, part original scan, unless the amount of work justifies a total re-draw.
Cheers,

An entire month behind the host software! Absolutely horrendous :rolling eyes: Have a little patience.

At this rate, probably not. Not having the 2011 OE has prevented my
company from switching to 2011. It has caused many headaches for me
since I'm the tester for new software and a producer. Hard to tell the
boss, "I can't make that aerial map you want because Autodesk hasn't
released the software needed to view the MrSid." Then he has to go to
our GIS department and use ESRI to get it done since Autodesk is slacking.

As time keeps ticking by, one can't help wondering if there's more to this... Here's a link to an article that might or might not be related. http://www.upfrontezine.com/2010/upf-645.htm#b

3 months now....This is becoming absurd - Will someone at Autodesk come clean and let us know what is going on with Raster Design 2011 - we are now beyond the first quarter of our subscription - what are we all paying for?

I have been fobbed off by support desk today - saying:

"Thank you for contacting Autodesk.

Kindly, please contact your reseller regarding the release date of Raster Design 2011 .

Please feel free to cotact us for any further questions.

Best Regards,

Reema Mascarenhas

Autodesk Business Center"

How stupid is that

Today I heard from our wholesaler that it was just released yesterday, of course, it'll be probably a couple of weeks before anybody sees anything.

Nothing available yet on the subscription site.

I wonder why no one from Autodesk has anything to say on this matter. They have been very quiet other than posts to contact our resellers. Why would the resellers no anything more than Autodesk? I just don't get it.

How can they think that 3 months and counting is acceptable?

I heard from my reseller, about a month ago, that July 20 is the release date for Raster Design 2011.

The redirection to our resellers in this case is one of the most obvious and silliest fob-offs I've seen from Autodesk, and I've seen a few over the years.

This excessive delay is unacceptable. The silence about this delay is equally unacceptable. Autodesk, you have a duty to keep your paying customers informed. Not good enough.
